A set of 3 modern illustrated books. 1/ - Derennes, Charles - Lemarié, Henry. - The Life and Death of M. de Tounèves. Paris, M. Lubineau, 1961. In-8, bound in full black calfskin with covers adorned with a gilt fillet frame featuring a floral motif in the spandrels, smooth spine, gilt title running lengthwise, green calfskin endpapers, covers and spine preserved, shaped slipcase, edged (bound by C. de Peyron) - 93 pp., [1 folio, colophon and colophon]. Illustrated with a frontispiece and 25 color plates by Lemarié (6 full-page and 19 half-page). Printed in an edition of 775 copies, all on pure-thread Rives vellum; this is one of the 625 (no. 662). 2/ - France, Anatole - Mossa, G.-A. - The Seven Wives of Bluebeard and Other Wonderful Tales. Paris, A. and F. Ferroud, 1921. In-8, bound in half-box, ribbed spine, gilt lettering, covers and spine preserved—[2 ff., title page, title], 244 pp., [1 f. completed]. Illustrated with 2 frontispieces, a title vignette, 4 hand-painted illustrations, 32 headpieces, 32 ornate initials, and 32 end-piece illustrations in color by Mossa. Printed in an edition of 1,225 copies; this one is one of 1,000 printed on fine Arches vellum. 3/ - Garcia Lorca, Federico - Grau-Sala. - *Romancero gitan*. Paris, M. Lubineau, 1960. In-4, loose-leaf, with a padded cover, titled slipcase, and publisher’s case (case stained—139 pp., [1 folio completed]. Illustrated with a frontispiece and 15 double-page color plates by Grau-Sala. A print run of 375 copies on Rives vellum; this is one of 275 (no. 105).
