A collection of four 18th-century works. 1/ - Mellin de S.[aint] Gelais. - Poetic Works. New edition expanded to include a very large number of Latin and French pieces. Paris, n.p. [Coustelier], 1719. In-12, bound in full period marbled calfskin, decorated ribbed spine, fawn-colored title label—[6 ff., title page, dedicatory epistle to Antoine de Harsy, note to the reader regarding the various editions published], 271 pp.(not 275 numbered pages, due to a pagination gap starting at 192), [8 pp., table of contents, privilege]—handwritten notes on the flyleaf concerning the publisher (de La Monnoye) and the printer (Coustelier). The last and most complete early edition prior to the 1873 reprint. 2/ - *La Farce de maistre Pierre Pathelinn* with its *Testament à quatre personnages*. Paris, Antoine-Urbain Coustelier, 1723. In-12, bound in full marbled period calfskin, with covers decorated with a triple gilt border, smooth embossed spine, title and date labels in red morocco, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges. Handwritten bookplate of His Excellency the Count of Clermont and the initials “L.D.B.,” which may be attributed to Louis de Bourbon-Condé, Count of Clermont (1709–1771) - restoration to the headbands, small tear at the first headband, slightly rubbed headbands - [4 ff.; title page, note to the reader], 147 pp. *La Farce* is one of the oldest masterpieces of medieval comic theater and is often considered the first comic play in French literature. 3/ - Nonnantes, Sieur de . - *L'Après-dinèe des dames de la juifverie*. Still in London, from the ever-present Mr. Jean Nourse, 1762. 12mo, full contemporary light calf, smooth spine finely decorated with small “grotesque” ironwork—modern wet stamp on title page, “M. Bourdeau” - 119 pp., [1 p. author’s preface]. Satirical anecdotes about men of letters and contemporary society by the Lorraine writer François Antoine Chevrier (1721–1762), who is known for his scathing pamphlets
