Illustrated with 25 black-and-white photomontages (the letters J and Q are combined on the same page). Photographs by Karel Paspy, based on a choreography by Milei Mayerová; design and layout by Karla Teigeho. Each photograph is accompanied by a rhyming quatrain by Nezval. Print run of 2,000 unnumbered copies. First edition A work highly representative of the Czech artistic collective Devetsil, one of whose founders was Karla Teigeho (Karel Teige) and of which Nezval was a member. A rare testament to a surrealist movement ahead of its time. The volume is enhanced by an E.A.S. by the choreographer (dated 1930).
