D. 5 cm - Tortoiseshell-lined burrwood box. D. 8 cm - Tortoiseshell box with polychrome inlaid friezes of oak leaves and crescent moons. D. 7 cm - Round papier-mâché box adorned with licentious engravings "Bonne astronome apercevez-vous la queue de la comète comme moi". Inside, a second damaged engraving. D. 8.5 cm - Oval-shaped veneered wood case, inlaid with mother-of-pearl and brass fillets, the interior lined with blue silk. D. 7 x 12.50 cm Accidents, chips and wear throughout.
