Horst Egon KALINOWSKI (1924-2013) Collection of 3 collages of various elements on paper: - Untitled, 1959 Collage of various elements on paper, signed and dated lower left in the motif. 65 x 50 cm Missing - Untitled, 1956 Signed and dated lower right. 50 x 65 cm. Missing - Greffe, 1970 Collage of paper and fabric on cardboard glued to paper, signed, dated and titled in the margin. Significant soiling and tears on the mounting board. 50 x 56 cm Provenance: Daniel Cordier collection, Paris, one with handwritten mention collection DBC [Daniel Bouyjou-Cordier] with inventory number on back of mount. Born in Düsseldorf in 1924, Horst Egon KALINOWSKI came to Paris in 1950 and continued his training at La Grande Chaumière, in Jean Dewasne's abstract art studio. A genius at collage, rigorously selecting the materials he uses with meticulous technique, Kalinowski first excelled in his creations on paper. Daniel Cordier, who exhibited his work in his gallery from 1958, was his greatest supporter.
