Deed of sale dated May 18, 1268 (April 19, 1268), the sixth year of the episcopacy of Hugues, bishop of Viviers and under the reign of King Louis, before Pierre Gedon, episcopal notary, Roberte de Chatanis, wife of Sasson de Valle, sells to Pons de Chabanes clerc, stipulating for himself and for Pierre de Chabanes his nephew, the following lands and grounds located in the parish of Saint Arcons (sancti Arcenienci Vivariensis).. The deed was signed in the village of Coucouron (Quoquoro), in the presence of Héracle III de Montlaur (†1279), lord of the said place of Montlaur, Perron (Pierre) de Montlaur, his brother, abbot of Monastier Saint-Chaffre (†1298) and several other important figures, and guaranteed by the lead seal on a double tail of Hugues de la Tour du Pin, bishop of Viviers, (appointed bishop in 1263, †1294).
Beautiful document written in Latin on a single sheet of parchment in a roll with 90 lines of writing. Wear and a few marginal gaps in the right-hand margin (Dimensions: 71 x 30 cm).
