Charles Vildrac (1882-1971) was a French poet and essayist associated with the literary utopia movement and poetic modernity of the early 20th century. He was associated with Henry Ottmann in artistic and literary circles. Vildrac opened his first Left Bank art gallery in 1904 at 11 rue de Seine, where he exhibited contemporary painters such as Friesz, Vlaminck, Camoin, Marquet, Luce, Lebasque, Dufresne, Signac and Henry Ottmann.
