Charles Despiau (1874 - 1946) Study for a monument: Man about to rise Black stone Studio stamp lower right "C.D. 37.5 x 27.5 cm (view) This drawing is a preparatory study for the funerary monument of Émile Mayrisch, a Luxembourg philanthropist and industrialist, located in the grounds of Château de Colpach in Luxembourg, an original plaster cast of which is in the collections of the Centre George Pompidou (no.
