René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Dancer 1975 Relief in Naxos marble Monogrammed (left) : RL Old restoration behind the hands 32 x 8.5 x 4 cm Oak base (35.5 x 13 x 10) Executed in direct carving in a particularly difficult marble, the Dancer evokes a classical dance pose: she stands on her toes, arms in a crown. Its three-quarter relief treatment and compact, squat appearance make it look like a small antique idol.
