Alexei REMIZOV (1877-1957) was a famous Russian writer, draftsman and calligrapher. Remizov worked in a wide variety of genres: stylized legends, bawdy tales, collections of kaleidoscopic dreams, literary tributes... Drawings, collages and calligraphy complete a work of great variety, which exerted a profound influence on Russian prose, particularly in the 1920s, and which is currently enjoying a revival of interest in Russia itself.
