QUADRILLE GAME BOX in lacquered wood with red and gold lacquer decoration on a black background of pavilions, pines and willows in a lakeside landscape. The box opens onto four small lacquered wood cases decorated in red and gold on a brown background with a fisherman in his boat. The boxes contain engraved mother-of-pearl tokens, some in the shape of fish. Wear, cracks, small chips, lacquer peeling. Japan, 19th century.
