Charles Despiau (1874-1946) The adolescent girl Black patina bronze Signed "C. Despiau Bears the founder's stamp "CIRE PERDUE C. VALSUANI Numbered "6/6 H. 63 cm From 1920 onwards, Charles Despiau has been studying the model of the Adolescent Girl. Initially entitled Suzanne, the figure of the young girl evolves. Although Despiau seemed satisfied with the body's attitude, which remained unchanged throughout his research, he repeatedly modified the hair and face. The bronze edition of this model numbered six. There is also a headless version of the teenager, produced in five bronze editions.
