Ary Bitter (1883-1973) Monkey Terra cotta Signed "Ary Bitter" on the back H. 23 x W. 29 x D. 13 cm Ary Bitter, a native of Marseille, entered the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1902 where he trained with Ernest-Louis Barrias while working in the studio of Jules Coutan. In 1910, he participated in the Salon des Artistes Français where he won the gold medal in 1924.
