Flaminio BERTONI (1903-1964) Puppy, circa 1943 Bronze with a light brown patina. Signed and dated F. Bertoni 1943 under the front legs. Bears the stamp of the foundryman Giannini Paris Cire Perdue. Rests on an original wooden base. H. 17.5 cm, terrace 21 x 13.5 cm and base H. 2.5 cm Italian sculptor born in Lombardy, he exhibited at the Salons d'Automne and the Indépendants in the 1930s. A renowned designer in the automotive sector, where he headed André Citroën's "Style" department from 1932, he also devoted himself to sculpture.
