Marcel DAMBOISE (1903-1992) - Lot 181
Marcel DAMBOISE (1903-1992) DANIELLE'S MASK AS A CHILD, CIRCA 1945 Workshop plaster with a patina and a slight shellac finish. Unsigned 23 x 15 x 11 cm Inv. MD. S-045G-00 This is the portrait of Danielle Damboise, the sculptor's youngest daughter, then about 4 years old. The sculptor uses a classical vocabulary for this head: eyes left white in the antique style, strands of hair in bundles plated on the skull, face clamorous and pure.
