Baillon, André. - Collection of 6 paperback books in Original Editions, in fine condition.
/ - Un homme si simple. Paris, F. Rieder et Cie, 1925 - In-12, 211 pp. One of 300 copies on Hollande Montgolfier (no. 56). This confession by the author, an inmate of La Salpêtrière psychiatric hospital, takes place in the town of Bourg-La-Reine.
/ - Chalet 1 - Paris, F.Rieder et Cie, 1926 - in-12, 214 pp. One of 300 copies on vellum pur fil Lafuma de Voiron ( n° 143). Always in the vein of such a simple man, these poetic snapshots of everyday asylums.
/ - Délires. Paris, A La Jeune Parque, 1927 - In-8, 151 pp. Composed of two parts: "Des mots, drame cérébral" (Words, cerebral drama), which deals with the problems of writing, and "Eve et Kiki, drame familial" (Eve and Kiki, family drama), or the story of a childish runaway treated as a fable. One of 1,000 copies on white vellum (no. 384).
/ - Le Perce-oreille du Luxembourg. Paris, Les Éditions Rieder, 1928 - In-12, 270 pp. uncut. One of 150 copies on vellum pur fil Lafuma de Voiron (n°27). Autobiography of a young man who has just been locked up in an asylum. How to untangle the intertwining anguish, scruples and vertigo that led him to this place?
/ - Roseau. Paris, Les Éditions Rieder, 1932 - In-12, 241 pp. One of 180 copies on alfa foam Lafuma (n°61). The book evokes the schoolboy life of one of Baillon's "doubles", where he discovers fear, vice and scruples. In many respects, this book is a terrible indictment of the rigid, severe education that turned Baillon into an "irritated", "hospital writer".
/ - La Dupe. Bruxelles, La Renaissance du Livre, 1944. In-8, 190 pp. One of 100 copies on velin bibliophile (no. 31), after 26 Hollande. Unfinished sequel to the third volume of Daniel Haudoin's story (I - Le Neveu de Mlle Autorité; II - Roseau), death having struck the author before the finalization of this novel.
