Georges Gardet (1863-1939) Hunting dog Bronze with dark brown patina Signed "G. GARDET" on the terrace Bears the founder's stamp "COMPAGNIE DES BRONZES FRANÇAIS". H. 18 cm, terrace 31 x 9 cm Georges Gardet trained with Aimé Millet and Emmanuel Frémiet. The numerous bronze editions of his animal groups by various foundries reflect the sculptor's considerable success at the Salon, where he exhibited from 1883 to 1914.
