The high proportions of this ancient object, the quality of its sculpture, combined with its notorious provenance, are remarkable. PROVENANCE: - Former Vérité Collection; Christie's sale, Vérité Collection, 21 November 2017, Paris, lot no. 62. Presence of the Christie's sale label.
