Our discoveries

Although Guillaume Crait and Thomas Müller's daily business is to organise auctions, they also aim to position their firm at the heart of current artistic events.

First and foremost, and in order to fulfil this mission, the Crait+Müller firm participates in enriching the collections of museums and institutions.
The Musée de l'Armée, the Musée de la Piscine in Roubaix and recently the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Agen have enriched their collections through our auctions.
In addition, thanks to auctions of artists' studios, our firm pays tribute to the work of a sculptor or painter, often confidential, and thus contributes to the sometimes major rediscoveries. Thus appraised, described, studied and brought to light, the artist's work enriches the historical knowledge of an artistic movement or period.
The study also supports museums in the context of the auctioning of artists' studios: in the context of donations, it acts as a link between the artist's family and the institutions, following the example of the Chartres Museum which recently received a work by Jean Legros.

In addition, Crait+Müller Auction House participates in the dynamism of the art market by organising book signings for works related to cultural and artistic news.
