[Masonic Patent] – Patent issued under the auspices of the Grand Orient de France by the Sovereign Chapter of the Trinosophes of Paris certifying the status of Grand Master of Alexander Jones, born in Dublin on March 9, 1779, temporarily residing in Paris at Rue and Hôtel de Rivoli, April 9, 1819. One sheet on vellum (37 x 55 cm) engraved with Masonic symbols depicting a landscape between two columns with the Temple of Trinosophy in the center, a pyramid on the right, a tomb in a grotto on the left, and a genie fluttering among the clouds at the top center of the sheet. Sealed with a red wax seal on a double red silk ribbon and signed by eight Masons. — Small chip at the top of the seal.
