The French Constitution, presented to the King on September 3, 1791, and accepted by His Majesty on the 14th of the same month. Paris: Imprimerie Nationale, 1791. In-12, bound in full green morocco, with covers decorated with a triple border of gilt fillets set within a small fleur-de-lis, smooth spine with decoration, red title label—corners pierced, edges rubbed—{2 ff., title folios, title], IV pp. (table of contents), 179 pp. Slight marginal foxing on 2 folios; otherwise a fine copy on strong vellum. Complete with facsimile signatures of the president and secretaries of the Constituent Assembly (Vernier, Pougeard, Couppé, Mailly-Chateaurenaud, Chaillon, Aubry, Darche, etc.) as well as that of Louis XVI.
