Huet, Christophe. - "Singeries, or Various Aspects of Human Life Depicted by Monkeys." Engraved by J. Guélard after drawings by C. Huet. Paris: Guélard, n.d. [c. 1750]. Oblong quarto, paperback, in poor condition. There are 13 mounted plates (including the title page), one of which depicts a monkey with a magic lantern accompanied by a mechanical musical instrument. Included is another series of “monkey antics” drawn by Huet and engraved by Filloeul (2) and Aveline Jr. (2).
