Publisher’s hardcover illustrated with 18 linocuts, printed on alternating ivory and light pink paper, single-sided — [58 ff.] Illustrated with linocuts by Elizabeth Rashley: half-title vignette, frontispiece, and 26 birds arranged alphabetically. Each linocut is accompanied by a humorous caption: “Woodcock, her wish: that we all be vegetarians.” Printed in an edition of 98 copies on Canson Ingres paper; this is one of 84 in black, following 14 that were colored (no. 39). In perfect condition.
