Paris, Éditions Yves Rivière, 1978. Folio-sized loose-leaf volume with a typographic cover - [24 pp.]. Texts by Marcel and Gabriel Piqueray, with full-page illustrations of an alphabet drawn by Pierre Alechinsky. First edition printed in a run of 750 numbered copies; this one is one of 660 (unjustified). The Piqueray twins, Belgian Surrealists, were close to the artists of the CoBrA movement and collaborated with many of them. 2/ - Alechinsky, Pierre - Butor, Michel - Sicard, Michel. - ABC de Correspondance. First edition of this work, consisting of two parts: 1°/ “Drawings on Invoices.” An alphabet book composed of images and impressions inspired by a series of drawings by Alechinsky created on 18 old invoices. For each letter, four poetic musings through the prism of these two writers’ imaginations. 2°/ “Grosses en stock.” An analysis of Alechinsky’s drawings created on letters. A sort of introspection into the drawn page and its relationship to the written word. A total of 37 drawings in India ink and wash, including 13 in color (including the cover). Print run of 1,000 copies on Centaure Ivoire paper; this copy is no. 372. 3/ - Dumayet, Pierre - Alechinsky, Pierre. - *Abécédaire A Z*. S.l., Travioles, 2005. Large 8vo, stapled with a typographic cover - [8 ff.]. 26 letters designed by Alechinsky and annotated by P. Dumayet? The work is an offprint of *Abécédaire* published in issue No. 11 of *Travioles*. Printed in a run of 100 copies (No. 46), signed by the author and the artist.
