Large quarto, publisher’s red percaline binding, large polychrome decoration on the front cover, red edges, thin printed dust jacket, worn— [40 ff.], illustrations by Job: 1 spread, 1 full page, 46 in-text illustrations, including 4 spreads, some with text overlaid. The History of France up to 1789. A fine copy with very fresh binding.
2/ - *La Cantinière*. *France: Its History*. Paris, Charavay, Mantoux, Martin, n.d. [1898]. Large quarto, the publisher’s gray percaline cloth, large polychrome decoration on the front cover, red edges, very slight rubbing on the edges and clamps— [40 ff.], 48 illustrations by Job, including 2 double-page spreads, 1 full-page illustration, 1 initial, and 44 in the text. A beautiful, very fresh copy.
3/ - Les Trois Couleurs. France, Its History. Paris, Charavay, Martin, n.d. [1898]. Large quarto, publisher’s green percaline, large polychrome decoration on the front cover, red edges, thin printed dust jacket with small tears— [40 ff.], illustrations by Job: 1 spread, 1 full page, 35 in the text, including 5 spreads. The third and final volume of this account of French history, covering the period from 1815 to 1880. A superb copy with very fresh binding.
