Turkish translation of Bohrân's Burhan-i Qati Persian dictionary, 1835 Large book printed on paper. Second edition of the Turkish translation "Tercüme-i Burhan-i Kati" (Translation of the Burhan-i Qati) completed on 1st Jumada al-Awwal 1212H./1797 by Seyyid Ahmed 'Asim 'Antabi Efendi. 642 paginated pages, 41 lines per page in black naskh script within a black frame. Bound in leather with flap and cover with stamped decoration. Second edition printed on 1st Rabi' al-Awwal 1251H./1835 by Dar al-Tiba'a publishing house in Bulaq, Egypt. Accidents, stains, wear, not collated. 33.5 x 22.5 cm The Burhan-i Qati (Bohrân-e Qate) is a Persian dictionary written in India in the 17th century by Mohammad-Hosayn b. Kalaf Tabrizi, who wrote under the pen name of Bohrân. He completed his work in 1062H./1651 and dedicated it to 'Abd-Allah Qotbshah (r. 1036-83H./1626-72), the seventh sultan of the Shi'ite dynasty of Golconde in the Deccan.
