H. 38 cm Some wear to the patina Born in Buenos-Aires, Pedro Meylan trained at the Ecole des Arts Industriels in Geneva from 1906, before entering the Beaux-Arts in Munich. In 1917, he became a practitioner of the Geneva sculptor Ferdinand Hodler. But by 1925, Pedro Meylan had turned away from his classical training and adopted a highly realistic style, particularly in his portraits, to which he devoted himself.
