Trained by an ornamental sculptor, Max Blondat signed his first works under the name Henry. He then moved to Paris, where he attended the École Germain Pilon and the École des Beaux-Arts. A multidisciplinary artist, he produced everyday objects, monuments and fountains, as well as numerous portraits. Our plaster cast is probably a preparatory study for the Burgundy stone portrait of Kurtis Reed.
