A round silver bouillon with a plain body and two handles. The molded lid has a chain-and-twist border and is topped by a rose bouquet socket. The set is engraved with the Séguin and Brémontier coats of arms under a count's crown, and the bouillon and its lid with appliqué decoration of a mavelot topped by a viscount's crown. By the workshop of Jean-François-Nicolas Carron. Paris 1788. With a plate of the same design (later). By the workshop of Narcisse Thorel. Paris circa 1886. Bouillon 14 x 18 x 10 cm D. of plate 20.5 cm Weight 850 g The invoice for the purchase of the bouillon from Hirsch fils Ainé, dated April 29, 1876, and the invoice for the plate and engraving, by Thorel, dated February 2, 1889, are enclosed.
