Hubert Yencesse (1900-1987) Study of a female nude Pencil drawing Signed "Hubert Yencesse" lower right H. 27 x L. 20.5 cm on view, framed Born into an artistic family and a student at the École des Beaux-arts de Dijon from 1919, Hubert Yencesse met François Pompon (1855-1933) and became his pupil. Awarded the Blumenthal Prize in 1934, he moved to Paris and worked with Aristide Maillol until 1936. He received numerous public commissions throughout his career and also taught at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
