Charles Malfray (1887-1940) Female nude Sanguine Bears the stamp "Atelier Malfray Paris 51" and the number "184". H. 28 x L. 21.5 cm on view, framed In 1904, Charles Malfray moved to Paris, on the Butte Montmartre, thanks to a ten-year pension from the city of Orléans. He entered the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and frequented the circles of avant-garde artists. There he met Rodin and Ségonzac, and befriended Maillol and Bourdelle.
