Constantin Ganesco (1864-1951) Agony Bronze with brown patina Signed "Ganesco" on the front Dedicated on the back "Souvenir d'une...". H. 17 cm Born in Bucharest, Constantin Ganesco's family moved to Paris before 1870. After studying law in Brussels, he abandoned his career as a magistrate to devote himself to sculpture and painting. From 1904 onwards, he regularly exhibited waxworks on the theme of "life's anguish" at the Salon de la Société nationale des beaux-arts.
