Joseph-Jules-Emmanuel Descomps, also known as Joseph Cormier or Joé Descomps, trained with sculptors Louis-Auguste Hiolin and Alexandre Falguière. A sculptor as well as a chaser and master goldsmith, his talent and mastery of bronze chasing are reflected in his production of Art Deco statuettes.
