Jean Théodore Delabassée (1902-?) The little grape-pickers Bronze with medal patina Signed "JEAN DE LABASSE" on the terrace, bears the founder's stamp "LNJL" for Les Neveux de J. Lehmann H. 45 x W. 60 x D. 17 cm, on a sea-green marble and bronze base with medal patina H. 17 x W. 63 x D. 21 cm Accents, missing parts and restorations on the base. Born in Lille, Jean Théodore Delabassée trained with Jean-Antoine Injalbert and Henri Bouchard. Between 1920 and 1930, he participated regularly in the Sa- lon des Artistes Français, where he won a bronze medal in 1928. His Art Deco-style bronzes were produced by the Parisian foundries Etling and Lehmann.
