Diam. 36 cm Dirt and dust Eugène Riu was a military commander, Brigadier General and Member of Parliament for Loir-et-Cher, as well as a sculptor. Trained by Alexandre Falguière, he distinguished himself as a portraitist at the Salon des Artistes français from 1869.
