In-4 bound in full black morocco, decorated with a geometric mosaic motif representing a tree whose trunk occupies the spine of the book and whose colored foliage is spread over both covers, spine boards decorated with a wide black morocco listel framed by a triple gilded fillet and spandrelled with a tan morocco pastille, imitation wood endpapers, covers and spine preserved, smooth black morocco spine folder with shaped spine and bands for the suites, titled on the spine, shaped and bordered double slipcase (rel. Lavaux) - 265 pp, [3 ff.]. 49 Illustrations by 16 different artists, including 4 h-t (A. Brouet, P. Gusman, Ch. Jouas, T. Polat). Edition of 125 nominative copies on Arches vellum (no. 33). Enriched with a complete suite on japon signed in pencil by the artists, including 13 with remarks; 36 signed engravings in pencil from several states of the print run (including 1 with 2 ink drawings by Hallo); 9 original ink drawings by Hallo, signed; 1 menu de la Stéde St Eloy du 17/01/1929 with an engraved illustration; 1 menu de la Sté St Eloy du 30/11/1927 with an engraved illustration by G. Pierre and the print run of this engraving. Pierre and the 1st state print of this engraving on Japon (signed in pencil).
