[Fontanès]Collection of miscellaneous poems. - Format in-12 (155 x 102 mm), bound in full Russian cherry leather, the boards decorated with a triple gilt frame, highly ornate smooth spine, titled "Poésies", chain on the edges, interior roulette, light blue paper endpapers, gilt edges - spotted covers and corners -. [5 ff. 2 blank, 1 with portraits, 1 dispatch, 1 blank], 188 pp, [5 blank ff.] Illustrated with 2 lithographed portraits, pasted on the 3rd leaf, L. Fontanès (recto) and Léonide Leblanc (verso). Ex-dono from L. Leblanc to Madame Perret "Souvenir des seules heures agréables que j'ai euues à Royat et espérance de les rendre à Paris, Léonide Leblanc". Composite collection of poems, including some by L. Fontanès (1757-1821), but also by Dupuy des Islettes, Sylvain-Maréchal, Brillat-Savarin, Félix Nogaret... A handwritten label on the verso of the front free endpaper suggests that the work was written by Fontanès. Léonide Leblanc (1842-1894), to whom this book belonged, was an actress and demi-mondaine.
