Engraved frontispiece relating to the Dauphiné and Vivarais uprisings. Handwritten ex-dono by the author to the title. The author, a Protestant theologian converted by Bossuet, discusses fanaticism in Dauphiné and Vivarais after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes by Louis XIV on 10/1685. Coat of arms of Philippe Bon, First President of the Chambre des Comptes de Montpellier in 1711.
