Illustrated with 2 engraved titles, 2 bandeaux, 52 in-t and 42 culs-de-lampe in clrs by Marty. Edition of 1950 copies, this one of 1650 on vélin pur fil de Rives (no. 1146). Complete with red velvet bookmarks.

Illustrated with 9 copper-engraved pll. h-t printed in bistre, wood-engraved head and foot plates. Edition of 300 copies on Johannot pur fil à la forme, one of 150 with the plates printed on Hollande Van Gelder (no. 257).
Robert Couturier (1905-2008). Sculptor and student of Maillol, whose influence can be felt in these drawings, his only contribution to book illustration.
