Lot including: - Fine Sino Hereke silk, late 20th century China Velvet, silk warp, weft and fringe, density approx. 9,000 knots per dm2. Midnight-blue field decorated with a large central floral medallion in the form of a stylized diamond. Four spandrels with motifs echoing the central field. Main border in ruby with interlacing palmettes of finely drawn flowers surrounded by stylized foliage. Good condition. 121 x 78 cm - Very fine silk Hereke, Asia Minor, Turkey, circa 1975/80 Velvet, silk warp, weft and fringe, density approx. 10000 knots per dm2. Carpet has been hung (note the rings on the back). Navy blue field decorated with a mosaic of a thousand polychrome flowers in the form of stylized tiles. Triple borders, the main one ruby, patterned with rows of old gold palmettes in the shape of stylized turtle shells surrounded by floral buds. Good condition. 75 x 50 cm
