Pair of molded walnut armchairs, green relacquered and gilded, with ribboned rushes. Whiplash-shaped armrests. Cambered legs, the fronts ribbed. Traces on the back of an initial lace trim. Louis XV period circa 1770-1775. Attributed to Nicolas Parmantier (1736-1801). A similar model is reproduced in Kjellberg p. 680 and in a 2004 special issue of France Antiquités. H. 88.5 W. 74 D. 59 cm Gray ostrich leather trim.
