Raoul Lamourdedieu (1877-1953) The Turkey Painted bronze Signed "Raoul Lamourdedieu" on the terrace Bears the publisher's stamp "LA STELLE" and the number "18". H. 21.5 cm, on a black Belgian marble base H. 2.4 cm The "La Stèle" stamp is the trademark of one of two artists' groups, along with "L'Évolution", founded by Arthur Goldscheider and under the artistic direction of Marcel Temporal. "La Stèle" brought together a number of artists, including Henri Bouchard, Paul Landowski, Gaston Hauchecorne and Raoul La- mourdedieu. Their works, including the Dindon model, were presented at the Exposition internationale des Arts Décoratifs et industriels modernes in 1925.
