Jean Lambert-Rucki (1888-1967) Virgin and Child Pencil and chalk on craft Lambert-Rucki workshop sale stamp lower right 38 x 14.5 cm (view) A friend of Kisling, Miklos, Survage and Czaky, Lambert-Rucki shared his studio with Modigliani when he arrived in Paris in 1911. During the 1920s and 1930s, he collaborated with Jean Dunand, worked with decorator and cabinetmaker Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann and became a member of the U.A.M. in 1930. In the following decade, he turned his attention to sacred art, creating a number of religious works revolving around the figure of Christ. In 1938, and until after the war, he participated in the Salon d'Art Sacré. The Musée des Années Trente in Boulogne-Billancourt holds several works by Lambert-Rucki.
