Léon-Ernest Drivier (1878-1951) Nymphs by the beach Mixed media Signed lower right "Drivier". 34 x 45.5 cm (view) After studying with Barrias at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and working with Rodin from 1907, Drivier turned to the sculptors of the "Schnegg Gang", with whom he became friends, notably Despiau, Bourdelle and Wlérick, then Janniot, Osouf and Dejean. The author of numerous public commissions, his works have found their way into museum collections, notably those of the Musée de Mont-de-Marsan, the Musée des années Trente in Boulogne-Billancourt, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Douai and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Strasbourg.
