René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Au soleil 1958 model Studio plaster with terrace Signed (on the right foot): LETOURNEUR 34 x 74 x 20 cm René Letourneur first created the large female nude of Au soleil in marble, in direct carving. He then cast his work, and our plaster comes from this casting. A bronze enlargement of Au soleil belongs to the collection of the New-York Film Academy. It is print no. 1/8, measuring 2.13 m in length. Bibliography : 2009 EXHIBITION, p. 88-89, no. 71-72, repr. (large-format bronze).
