Hungarian-type hussar saber, gilded brass hilt, with one branch decorated with pearls, large straight auricles, crosspiece and cap decorated with fillets, chagrin-covered wooden spindle held by two gilded olives; large, strong curved blade with two hollow sides and three side grooves in the middle, along the back; leather-covered wooden scabbard with three wide brass fittings engraved with gilded fleurons and foliage; length 105.5 cm. (Guard and scabbard fittings gilded; scabbard leather changed). Partly 18th century. Good condition. The end of the blade is slightly deformed.
