Carlos Carlé (1928-2015) Sphere Glazed ceramic Signed and dated "1990 H. 23 cm Argentine sculptor Carlos Carlé's passion for ceramics began in the early 1950s. He founded the avant-garde group Artesanos in 1954 and the Argentino Ceramic Art Center in 1959. From 1963, he traveled to Italy, settling in Albissola, a hotbed of ceramics since the experiments of Arturo Martini and Lucio Fontana in the 1930s.
