André Vincent Becquerel (1893-1981) Rabbit Bronze with green-brown patina Signed "A. BECQUEREL" on the edge of the base Bears the circular insert and the founder's mark "Susse Frs Edts Paris". Bears the words "cire perdue" and the number "9". H. 12 cm, terrace W. 12.8 x D. 5.9 cm A student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Becquerel studied with Hector Lemaire and Prosper Lecourtier, and took part in the Salon des Artistes Français from 1914 to 1922 and the Exposition Universelle in 1937.
