Jacques-Émile RUHLMANN (1879-1933) Pair of AXELSON model shepherds' chairs, in macassar ebony veneer on an oak frame, with slightly sloping back and scrolled top, full armrest with slightly protruding and profiled cuff. Ebony scroll decoration on the side of the back. Original chrome-silver bronze ovoid base, screwed under the oak frame. Fully upholstered in beige leather with leather-covered lead piping. Bergères not stamped. H. 89.7 cm L. with armrests 68.5 cm Frame D. 84.5 cm PROVENANCE : Private collection. Listed in the Référencier Ruhlmann under n° 226 AR - 31 NR, for the shape.
