Lot of 12 Correspondences of women 1/ Du Deffand (marquise). - Complete correspondence with her friends President Hénault, Montesquieu, D'Alembert, Voltaire, Horace Walpole, classified in chronological order and without deletions, increased with unpublished letters to the Chevalier de l'Isle [...], followed by her various works and enlightened with numerous notes by M. de Lescure. Laplace, who admired him, said "Read Euler, he is the master of us all". He was a master of the scientists of his time but also of cultivated amateurs like the princess of Anhalt-Dessau to whom he wrote more than 200 letters.
